Bicycle and e-bike testing — frames, forks, components and complete bikes
The published range covers the classic bicycle test programme: frame, fork, handlebar and pedal-axle fatigue, component impact (felloe drop, fork and frame drop, pedal and handlebar impact), brake performance in dry and wet conditions, wheel and tyre endurance on a drum, transmission performance, and ride-environment testing for electrically power assisted cycles (EPAC).
What makes this industry hard
Fatigue, impact and performance test machines for bicycles, children's bicycles and electrically power assisted cycles.
A programme, not a single test
A bicycle range is certified test by test: static strength and rigidity, fatigue on frame, fork and handlebar, impact on frames and components, brake performance on dry and wet rims, and wheel endurance.
One platform, many geometries
A frame today and a children's bicycle tomorrow use the same standard family but very different dimensions, so fixtures have to adjust in distance and angle rather than being welded to one model.
Electric drives add tests
Electrically power assisted cycles add ride-environment and drive-related tests on top of the mechanical programme.
What we provide
What we provide
The published range covers the classic bicycle test programme: frame, fork, handlebar and pedal-axle fatigue, component impact (felloe drop, fork and frame drop, pedal and handlebar impact), brake performance in dry and wet conditions, wheel and tyre endurance on a drum, transmission performance, and ride-environment testing for electrically power assisted cycles (EPAC).
Fatigue machines
Frame, fork and handlebar fatigue rigs driven by electric cylinders: 1–5 Hz, up to 200 kg (2 kN) dynamic load, load-cell accuracy within ±1 %, 150 mm stroke, fixtures adjustable in distance and angle.
Impact machines
Modular component impact tester covering fork drop, fork-and-frame combination drop, pedal horizontal / vertical / diagonal drop, handlebar assembly impact and crank vertical impact, with 5–40 kg interchangeable impact masses.
Brake performance
Wheel-drum brake tester with servo-controlled lever force, wet-braking water spray and wind cooling, for dry, wet and heat-dissipation braking test modules.
Wheel, tyre and transmission
Wheel / tyre endurance running on a drum with a defined bump block, five-stiffness and puncture testing, and a transmission test stand with torque measurement.
EPAC ride environment
Ride-environment tester for assembled electrically power assisted cycles, with adjustable roller wheelbase, road speed and bottom-bracket height.
Equipment for this industry
Equipment for this industry
Each machine below is documented on its own page with its published specification.
Automotive testing
Wheel Dynamic Radial Fatigue Test Machine
Two-station vertical rig with tyre cooling, closed-loop electric servo loading and a drum driven at speeds up to 140 km/h.
Automotive testing
Wheel Impact Performance Test Machine
Drop-weight impact machine for 13°, 30° and 90° wheel impact performance tests, with a 910 kg main hammer and spring-damped impact head.
Bicycle testing
Bicycle Frame Fatigue Test Machine
Frame durability rig that applies a standard-specified dynamic force and stops automatically at the set cycle count; fixtures adjust for bicycles and children's bicycles.

Questions buyers ask
Questions buyers ask
- Do the fixtures fit several bicycle sizes?
- Yes. The fatigue machines are supplied with fixtures that adjust in distance and angle, and the published description states they suit bicycles and children's bicycles of different shapes and sizes.
- Can e-bike ride-environment testing be covered?
- The published ride-environment tester lists EN 15194 clauses 4.2.11 to 4.2.13 and UL 2849 sections 40 and 41. [TO CONFIRM: the exact clauses your certification body requires.]
