Automotive testing — seats, body structures and wheels
The company's published product range covers automotive seat system strength, safety-belt anchorage strength, head-restraint impact, seat durability (including an ingress / egress test with a robot and dummy), door and flap cycle testing, and wheel fatigue and impact testing.
What makes this industry hard
Strength, fatigue and durability test systems for seats, belt anchorages, body closures and wheels.
Several rulebooks, one part
A seat or a belt anchorage can be called up by Chinese national standards, by UNECE regulations and by US federal standards at the same time, and a Tier-1 supplier is often asked to show evidence against more than one of them.
Evidence has to be reproducible
A strength figure only means something if the measuring chain is defined: load cell class, sampling rate and the filter class applied to the recorded data.
Multi-axis sequences
Where a test method loads a seat along several axes, the order and the preload of each axis change the result. The rig has to hold the preload on every axis before the test load is released.
What we provide
What we provide
The company's published product range covers automotive seat system strength, safety-belt anchorage strength, head-restraint impact, seat durability (including an ingress / egress test with a robot and dummy), door and flap cycle testing, and wheel fatigue and impact testing.
Quasi-static strength systems
Hydraulic rigs for seat system strength and safety-belt anchorage strength, with per-axis preload and force / displacement control (±30 kN load cells, ±0.1 % FS).
Measurement chain
1000 Hz sampling with data filtering that meets the CFC60 filter class of ISO 6487.
Impact and durability rigs
Head-restraint impact, seat-frame durability, headrest adjustment durability, seat ingress / egress with robot and dummy, and door / flap cycle testers.
Wheel testing
Two-station dynamic radial fatigue testing with tyre cooling, and drop-weight wheel impact testing at 13°, 30° and 90°.
Beyond the machine
Laboratory planning and operator training, plus instrument calibration and maintenance.

Questions buyers ask
Questions buyers ask
- Which standards can the seat strength system be quoted against?
- The published product description lists GB 15083-2006, GB 14167-2013, GB 13057-2003, ECE R17 / R80 / R14, FMVSS 207 and the German Volkswagen EP development standard for seat system and safety-belt anchorage strength. [TO CONFIRM: the exact revisions and test items for your project.]
- Can the rig preload several axes before the test load runs?
- Yes. An initial load can be set for each test axis, and the test load is applied only after every axis has reached its preload.
- How is the recorded data filtered?
- Sampling is 1000 Hz and the data filtering meets the CFC60 filter class defined in ISO 6487.
